Empty/full...You decide

Art by Judith Parsons Art 2018 • San Francisco
“ Blank is the end, blank is the beginning. This is the rune of total trust, and should be taken as exciting evidence of your most immediate contact with your own true Destiny which, time and again, rises like the phoenix from the ashes of what we call fate.”
This from the The Book of Runes by Ralph Blum

I pulled this rune yesterday. Every New Year I pull out all my tools to check and see if I am on the correct path, when really in my gut I know I am.

In a world where we work upon our body, mind and spirit. This last phase of my life is most exciting, because I am actually living purposefully. I received a tremendous amount of wisdom from the 21 Day Mediation series on time. Thank you Deepak and Oprah for your wisdom.

Wipe away everything. As if your were clearing off a table top, swipe your hand across the imaginary table in your mind. ALL the clutter, all the other people and their wants, just sweep your whole arm over the table, and push everything away and off the table.

Now. Smile. Take a deep breath. The table is empty/full. It is empty of worries and negative energy, it is full of illuminating light. The table top starts glowing. Smile. Yep. You are deciding from now on, what you will focus on.

IF, your connections, relationships are becoming too heavy. IF the connections of people in your life are weighting you down, tell them you need a break. Yep. You are about YOU- right here- right now. Smile. Breathe.

Now, see one thing you want to focus on that is just for you. Let yourself bring "it" to the forefront of your mind - the one thing you desire. See it. Focus upon it. Relax and KNOW it is yours. In your mind ask God, “show me the way”.

Breathe, smile and know it will come in time. What we focus on we bring into our reality. Yes, it won’t happen over night.

Relax about it. Know. Everything is happening perfectly!

Life is what we decide: We are both empty and full. You are perfect.

Guardians of the POOL

Original art created using Adobe illustrator and Photoshop.
ArtistL Judith Parsons 2018 San Francisco.
The real guardians watch over you as you swim. They look for your skin texture, for the New Year Resolution nut cases that decide they are going to swim an hour and then they wobble away from the pool exhausted.

The real guardians watch the grand dads trying to be patient with the grand babies. They have this notion that dip children in swimming pool and pronto - instant swimmers! They aren’t instant noodles for heavens sake, that magically puff and grown into breast stroke swimmers.

I give the grand dad an A for effort! He actually taught the girl that her ankles go on the outside of her knees while doing the breast stroke kick (frog kick). I could tell the wee girl was getting exhausted, she kept looking over at me with wide eyes pleading: “Please make Grand dad stop.”

I knew there was no stopping the man. He was on a mission! The best I could do was ask the grand dad to let her practice the kick for a while before moving on with the arms.

I shake my head thinking about the two of them. The grand dad looking at me for approval and confirmation that he was teaching correctly and the wee girl looking at me for assistance in making the whole thing stop.

In the end they were both smiling. The girl was thrilled to be going to a hot shower and the grand dad had accomplished his mission.

Think about the people guarding you. The people who are trained in CPR, first aid and the use of oxygen. The people who will be your emergency back up plan.

Get out there! Go swimming! We have got your back!

Playing with Deepak

Art composition created by Judith Parsons Art 2017
Do not use without permission.
Andy Warhol was known for playing with iconic celebrities. Who better to use in playful creativity than Deepak Chopra? Nope, I am not on his payroll yet. However, I believe in miracles and I have a great appreciation for this spiritual guru.

I imagine if we made a T-shirt it might have dualistic something or other in the middle...inside of my name.

I love his glasses- such an iconic personality! YOU rock Deepak!! Love you Dude!!

One of first books, he wrote about doing your life's passion. Trust in your passion. Trust in what makes you come alive. Do what ever you love with all of your being, and don’t worry about the money part of it.

I went back to college to finish my graduate degree in art. I invested in myself. I grew art wings in the process and fell madly involve with the precision of art using digital laser technology. I also started creating with adobe photoshop and adobe illustrator as my sanity keeper.

The one thing we can depend on is change. Plain and simple. As we close the 2017 book we get ready to open the blank pages…I can see water color sketches slowly coming into focus upon my book.

Find your passion. Do it! Don’t worry about making money off of it. The finances will flourish! Learn your craft! Have fun!

2018 is going to be a better year.

Maggie Boyle

Art created by Judith Parsons Art 2017 San Francisco.
If there was ever an mountain of energy within a body, it was found within Margaret Boyles tall frame. Just thinking about her spirit, how incredible courageous she was, how brave at such a young age and how determined as an older woman —makes me want to grow up and be just like her.

She was 14 years old when she was sent away to be the Dalton Abby sort of maid who did everything for the household. Her family needed the money and she was sent away to make money for the family. Can you imagine? Do you know any 14 year old today that would do that? Heck no! They’d run away and join the circus, before working as a maid, milking the cow, washing the linens, making breakfast for everyone and starting the fires every morning!

I only just met her a few years ago. My favorite memory is Maggie coming into the living room with her floppy beach hat upon her head! She had a great smile upon her face and a sparkle in her eye! She asked: “What are we doing today?” And Anita and I busted out in laughter.

There she stood in her night gown and beach hat, laughing away and ready to head to the beach. We went to the beach. We took a folding chair for her and a blanket. We talked about her life and her memories about the children and how they walked everywhere. There used to be a hedge that the children would run into when they were learning to ride a bike. I remember her saying: “Funny how they stopped running into the wall- once it became concrete.” That still makes me smile.

She was a firm believer in getting out everyday! If someone asked you out, "You had your coat at the ready!" She was always ready to go on an adventure!

You will be missed Maggie. The house will not be the same without you. It is true, you fall in love with the whole family, not just one person. Your bright eyes, and wild wonderful white mane of hair will be horribly missed.  Keep a table set for me in heaven I look forward to sitting around the table with you and my parents, having the craic.

See you on the other side. We all know earth time is a year, while heaven time is a blink of an eye. I love you Maggie Boyle.

(The art was created with reaching arms. As we all reach for heaven daily.)

One photo of my hand holding a rope. Duplicating the photo and reflecting it.

Merging the two photos into one layer.
rotating the photo 45 degrees.

Pushing the saturation level up to pop the colors.

Very strong graphic as is. Holding on tight.
Afraid to release the grip...as my daughter said: "Being okay with being at ease."

Tis the season for crazy family drama...let it go. Release the grip. Cleat the rope off, relax- let the wind take the sails...Chill.

These bottom 2 graphics were deconstructing the original image. Rotating and playing with the creative energy of fun!! Having a great time with sacred geometry!!
Enjoy your art!

Awareness Warrior Deepak

I captured this photograph of Deepak from Instagram.
I played with photoshop to create this illustration.
Judith Parsons Art 2017 San Francisco
I am listening to the time meditation and drawing in photoshop- I used a photo from instagram of Deepak  and his yoga partner. I took the image and creates a sacred geometry piece of art.

What we focus on- we pull into the center of our lives.

No wonder the “vision board” is working. Makes sense huh? (grinning)

The things I am working on: “ Reinventing my body, resurrecting my soul. “ The title of Deepaks book. When in reality I am doing just what the book title says. Yes, I am 57 years young. Yes, most people would be considering retirement.
I on the other hand, am starting over. I am creating advertising, logos and art for people and businesses that I feel are worthy of my time.

THIS is a huge place to be.

Oprah and Deepak called it “purposeful living”.

It is standing in the center of a forest - looking around and knowing that this is going to be the place I have an off-grid home. I can here the young river running not far off. I can see in my minds eye the me- stronger and fit.

Can anyone start over? YES. If you follow my Facebook page- then you saw the video about a woman who started lifting weights at 59 years young. Yep. I can see you shaking your head, and I am chuckling at the idea too. However, we can start over.

We can change the molecules and energy with great food and positive focus. YES! Let us all become the “Awareness Warrior!”
