Honoring the body...finally.

I created this composition using photographs form a video. "Clara- I bet"
She has an exquisite body! I love her back!! Judith Parsons Art 2015
Okay..Okay..Okay…

Sooo some sweet soul posted on facebook this impressive woman dancing on a pole. I was intrigued. She was heavier than the normal models you see swinging around on a dance pole, and I watched it.

She stunned me with her strength. When she was done—I thought: “Dang, I wish I was that strong.”

I am a big woman, and no, I am not a typical woman. I am 54 years young, and I will be the wild woman sliding into home plate or climbing a tree when it is my time to transition to the next realm. I admire strength!

No, I f-ing LOVE love LOVE strength!
Now you know me. (nodding) I won’t go into all the people that talk the talk…but show me someone who really LIVES life…really works on ALL aspects of themselves…and they turn my head.

They make me gulp.

It is about passion in all areas. As Margaret, my daughter says: “YOU are art!”

You are!! You can let your body be the canvas you create with! Stop whining and start moving!

SHOW-me how passionate you are about yourself…I emailed a pole dancing place this morning!  I want to find out how hard it is...CAN anybody do it? I want to be stronger!! I know I am not as strong as I want to be…I know
I WANT
to be
S-T-R-O-N-G…so it is time.

I would take a photo of my flubbing rear end and show you a before photo…but I am not that brave. (chuckling) And I want to spare your eyes.

I will post this photograph compilation that I created, the photographs are from the video: “Clara- I bet” SHE is stunning!! SHE has a body I would love to have. It might be a wee bit late for me, those breast are not as perky anymore.

Just so you know, there is an 81 year old woman out there—in our world, still competing in track and field. I figure, if I start now, I might have a rocking body by the time I am 81 years young.

My mind and spirit have been wanting my body to get with the act for a very long time…IT is time!!

Come on body, we got some “Pole dancing” to do!! Woooohoooooo!!!
I will keep you posted!!

I got nothing--ramblin words.

New Logo Design for Judith Parsons Art
Created by Judith Parsons 2015

I have realized no one person can do
e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g for me...
And the people in my life
(waving and smiling)
are realizing that I am  one complicated
fish...
Mermaid...

Mer-artist

(laughing)
I like that last label.
You see, if you know me, then you know I abhor labels.

Yes, yes, yes, they help us to have a beginning point when we have to evaluate and assess.

And yes, every blue moon, we have to chart our progress. We have to hold up the mirror and take a good look at ourselves.

Today walking about China town, I stopped and bought a "Outback Aussie hat"... It is camouflage tan and dark brown, it has buttons on the side and a flap of cloth to protect the neck from sunburn.

I have a few friends who have that sort of hat, (waving) and I have always wanted one, to protect my face and neck. And eventually I knew it would show up. It was a whopping $13. Yep, only $13 dollars. I donned my new hat and felt happy, connected to friends that I remember...

I hope you find people that hold onto you. People that won't let go. Thank you Dear Sweet Lovely friends!! You know who you are. We are evolving and learning that the purest love doesn't have to have a label, it can just be.

Soaring beside you all!!

Do you have what you want?

Graphic by Judith Parsons Art
Chair photographs from google images.
I believe
every blue moon or
eclipse the stars, the universe or God ask us what we really want.

That benevolent star alignment asks the question:

“Do

you

have

what you want?”

Then the evaluation and assessing process takes place.

Start with self assessing?
Are you physically, spiritually and emotionally where you want to be?

If not make a list, start with little things, make the choices that make you feel good at the end of the day. It might be as simple as eating a vegetable verses eating a starch. Or maybe it is a decision to move your body and exercise a little more than normal.
Start small.

Then look around you. Does your environment say “YOU!” or does it say- old hand me down furniture and messy house. Are you keeping furniture because you rescued it from the dump?
Did you recycle it and make it new again?
Or-r-r-r-
did you leave it as is…always meaning to give it a new coat of paint, put a layer of mosaics upon it. You get the picture.

Do we keep old things about, because we don’t want to hurt them? Do we keep old relationships about, because we hate breaking people’s hearts? Some times yes, we do. Some times we need to have heart to heart talks and ask our loves to change, to try and be more, because we all want ourselves and the people we love to grow stronger and better.

Ask and you shall receive.

If you ask, and they decide not to change. That is okay too. However, it needs to be voiced, talked about and discussed. Use your voice, some times we need a little kick start, a little push to move and become MORE, verse less.

You want to keep the old broken chair in the corner? Than take some furniture repair classes, re-weave her seat. Add some springs into her bottom. Go purchase her a new fabric to upholstery her in. When you sit in your favorite chair, KNOW that you have done right by her. and She by you.

Your rear end deserves the best you can get. You want a royal place to rest at the end of the day, then fix the throne, or get a new one.

Just saying.

A hug, from behind

Todays blog is brought to you from a hug, from behind.

There is a hug I want you to receive. It is a hug you get when you don’t know you are going to receive it. You are standing at the sink doing dishes and then your feel arms wrap around you and a warm body against your back, a nice squeeze and the warmth of their body against yours.

Think about that hug. Take a deep breath and “see” it…Its the perfect hug. It is a lovely way to appreciate another person. There isn’t an awkward feeling about whether to kiss or not. Just a simple hug will do.
(hugging you tight) Have a glorious Sunday!

May you receive a sweet loving hug today!

Safe emotion waters

Todays meditation about emotion inspired me to create this art.

Today Oprah and Deepak met me underwater, that is the deepest me, where I can quiet my mind and soul and sink into a natural buoyant non-gravitational space.

We three met on the beach of my minds eye and walked into the water.

It was a safe water, it was what it must feel like in the mother’s womb.

We were holding hands and as we walked deeper we were all grinning.

I felt Oprah was facing her fears and Deepak was like a child
again. I felt he had missed the sensation of the ocean.

We walked under water, we were fish, able to breathe and float and BE quiet.

Then we did something that made me laugh- - we connected toes, and laid underwater looking up at the magical light filtering down.

It was a magical meditation, our big toes interlocked, floating safe under the liquid mirror of love. We WERE back home, safe in the waters of emotion!

Silently enjoy divine peace today!

Resting in the waters of Love!

Loving your body

I am at day 4 of Deepak and Oprah's 21 day meditation series.

Today was fabulous. I realized how much I neglect my body. How I take it for granted.

As the meditation started I found myself curled up into the fetal position. I didn't plan it...it just happened. I felt my body was taking me back, reclaiming me, giving me back to me...as I was hearing the words that I knew to be true, my body was soooo thrilled to love me. My body was a baby in my arms again- cradled against my heart. It was a magnificent meditation. I am glad I waited until tonight- so I could fully GIVE myself to the meditation!
Thank you Deepak and Oprah for your love and light...My body wants to hug you in person--and thank you for your magnificent service of Love!

Thank youuuuuu!

I created this art with the water in mind. Lately I have been speaking with friends about going back to what I love, to scuba diving and sailing. The ocean is a big part of my life. The graphic shows 2 figures, the fetus and the fish.

The water is the baby, the fish is the color of the sunsets. We are mesmerized by sunset at the waters edge. There is a magic that captivates and holds us.

Tonight is the eclipse. I shall be asleep while it occurs. My friends across the lake will see it, maybe even capture it somehow...It is a glorious awakening when we can curl up in my imaginations and in our minds eye see ourselves hold the self.

I laid comfortably within myself. My body is thrilled to have me back as a friend! I shall be more aware.

Thank you Deepak and Oprah. This series is awesome!
Much Love and light to all of you!!

Soaring, swimming, roaring beside you all!
Hugs and kisses!

Shake your bones

Photograph  and graphic by Judith Parsons 2015
Heart Holding/Spine Strengthening

I was going to use the words: Heart cage. But then it sounded like it had all these negative connotations. You know, cage, lock and key, prison, jail. So the heart was held captive someplace. I didn’t like that idea.

We all want our hearts to be held by loving compassionate souls. Our bones hold us together. The art work of the skeleton is exquisite. The curving of the bones, the design really is well done. What an engineer God is!

(smiling sigh)

The back bone with its segments all aligned really is an incredible design as well. We need to appreciate our bones.

Anita (waving) said ages ago to me; “I love the bones of you.” What a glorious way to say you love someone. (smiling)

I can’t help but think of someone gnawing on a turkey drumstick. You know- like the big ones you can get at the Renaissance festival.

I love that idea, sucking on a big Turkey drum stick bone. Just enjoying the hell out of the yummy food, getting it all over your face. And now, I realize it may sound like I eat the flesh of the people I love. Wait. Hold on. This is steadily going down hill fast.

Changing subject.

Appreciate your bones, love yourself. I appreciate your bones. Keep growing stronger. Not older, just stronger. Leave the number at the door. Play the music, smile and enjoy the heck out of your bones.

Shake those hips!

Love y’all!

Spiritual Evolution!

Photograph by Dean Evans. Composition by Judith Parsons.

We are all more connected than we know. Dean Evans, (waving) posts a photo of the fire he is going to build. The triangle sits READY to transform. I smile and KNOW that the muse is laughing at me.

Then Stephanie Keltner, (waving) posts this great little radio program and it is all about the star alignment and the eclipse which is happening on the 20th of March. That eclipse happened 20 years ago. It signals the end of something big.

this is the link! Molly McCord is the author of the blog and astrologist. She talks about
the solar eclipse signally something is finally over. Its like a huge relief, like a “giant exhale”.

So, let the changes come. Relax. Know and grow.

The lesson of completion is March 20th.

When something ends, it is time for new beginnings. With the Spring equinox happening right upon the heels of the eclipse, it is time to let new life lessons blossom. Be brave! Do the thing you have always wanted to do! YOU can do it! NOW is the time!!

May all your dreams be planted…may the spiritual seeds of evolution grow!! Wooohooooo!! Life is grand!!

Soaring beside you all!!

Hallelujah

Photograph captured from Sade video, not sure who
photographer is.

Sade sings an incredible song. I captured the image from her video. I also used parts of the lyrics, to write about determination.

There are ALOT of people who talk about doing things.
There are a few that actually do what they say they are going to do.
There is a force, a drive, something “stronger than nature”
That churns and burns them full force alive.

I surround myself with people who are brave and driven people.

You know who you are. I sing “Hallelujah!!!” Just like Sade sings out…Her cry is my cry!

That is enough to say. I leave you with her words and her song.
THIS song is my heart.

We ARE soaring! I love you sweet friends!! YOU are all amazing to me!!

Lyrics: "Pearls" by Sade

There is a woman in somalia
Scraping for pearls on the roadside
There's a force stronger than nature
Keeps her will alive
That's how she's dying
She's dying to survive
Don't know what she's made of
I would like to be that brave
She cries to the heaven above
There is a stone in my heart
She lives a life she didn't choose
And it hurts like brand-new shoes

Hurts like brand-new shoes

There is a woman in somalia
The sun gives her no mercy
The same sky we lay under
Burns her to the bone
Long as afternoon shaddows
It's gonna take her to get home
Each grain carefully wrapped up
Pearls for her little girl

Hallelujah
Hallelujah

She cries to the heaven above
There is a stone in my heart
She lives a life she didn't choose

And it hurts like brand-new shoes

Uniqueness

Art created especially for this particular blog, by the most
incredible artist. Judith Parsons Art 2015

Each of us brings our best to the table of life. Each of us different, unique, rare and beautiful. It is true , with LOVE all things are possible. Even when things might not be exactly how you wish them to be. There still is so much to learn from that experience and each person.

Each of us holds our puzzle pieces in our hands. We can choose to hold the positive qualities,  or the negative qualities and we can focus upon those helpful pieces.

Sure there will be hurricanes and intense winds that try and blow the best pieces of ourselves away.

Stand still in the storm, sit calmly and the storm will pass. Hold on to your best self. You have to live with you. And sure the puzzle pieces become worn around the edges. All good puzzles are worn around the edges.

Its okay not to have sharp edges.

Hold on to yourself.

Mysterious Love

Original one-of-a-kind art created by one-of-a-kind artist.
Judith Parsons Art 2015
Mystery

We want to know everything
Trying to figure out what the future holds

Then life hands us a blank rune
Saying trust in Love

It doesn’t have to be totally spelled out
Sketched out lines in gray are a-okay

Listen to the church bells ring their Love to you
Sigh in that moment- the energy is so sweet so early on

The chase of Love
The newness of exploring what the other is all about

Hold back you
Keep some you to sprinkle about
When the monotonous days take their toll

It doesn’t have to be explained
Nothing Does
Just trust in the spark of sprinkled light
In fire fly Love

I am going to Love lots of different folks
All for different reasons and seasons
Love can not be contained in the old box
It is warping the metal bending the walls
Growing changing becoming more and more

Don’t fear anything
Love never goes away

It grows and heals and spills out over and beyond all

Art makes you STRONG!

Graphic created by Judith Parsons 2015
Do not use without permission.

My daughter told me that I should treat myself as art.

It changed me. Her sentence was an example of words made flesh.

She really has an incredible ability to use these little letters, combine them in a way that transcends and transforms. She is amazing. Thank you Margaret!

So I took her advice. I started working on art like a mad-woman. Possessed by clay, glass and metal. I am discovering my body with my art. Art is this muse, like a personal trainer.

When I first returned to graduate school I was slabbing clay until 9pm at night. I admit, my back was in spasms. I would hobble home slowly, taking baby steps. It took time for my back muscles to strengthen. It didn’t happen over night.

Art taught me to pace myself. I usually pushed through it. Then, I’d pay dearly for it the next day.  Out flat on my heating pad to recover. Now, a year later, I am working with metal. And I listen to my art, I listen to my body.

I am learning to forge metal now. And guys, I got to tell you, there is NOTHING better than bending hot lava metal, it is such a rush!!  Please, take a forging class, or join a black smithing group! YOU are gonna love it!!

ART makes you STRONG!

Woooohoooooo!! Life is grand!!!

San Francisco Art

Art created by Judith Parsons
Photographs by Judith Parsons.
Do not use without permission. 2015
Thursday night, there was a gallery opening for some lovely students. There was jewelry that blew my mind. The art was precise and exact. The finishing details polished and pristine.

Art school is like that. It asks us to keep polishing the silver of our existence until we are shining like a mirror.

It was a great night, thank you Kelly, Trekka, and Alexus for making it a great evening. (waving) Dale, your art is amazing!

Mirrors. (smiling sigh) Moons. No, I have no smooth transition here. Just jumping from one topic to the next.

Walking home from the gallery opening I took photos of the moon…and window display. I love the mask, have been intrigued by the mask for years. Have created many and given many away to friends.

San Fransico is an interesting city. So many cultures living in one area. So many people speaking different languages. Language isn’t really needed. You can see from body language how confident or stressed someone is.

Smiling, or at least not scowling is crucial to me. Being aware of your facial expression while you sit upon the bus is key in getting a seat. Most people see my white hair and ask if I would like to sit. I earned every white hair on my head, and am proud of them.

I am happy to report my sculpture is coming along. I am happy to report I am connecting to old friends, and it feel good to have them as friends. I am setting my sights of SOARING.

The body, mind and spirit are all on the same track. THAT is a major feat. KEEP flapping those wings, I will find you in the sky! Love you all!

Woooohoooooo!!! Art is life- life is art!

Finding the source of yourself.

Original art created by Judith Parsons 2015
Do not use without permission
T R I N I T Y

Finding the source of your river.

I am in the process of self discovery, trekking up mountains to find where the river of me begins.

We all come from that same river.

The majestic mountains we have to climb to find the place where God's breath melts the snow and we are born.

Drop by drop. We melt transforming from solid to liquid. We become the tears of God, we all go back home to the river which flows to the ocean where we kiss the setting sun.

The piece of art you see is my NEW logo. I am placing it upon my facebook page.

I have been searching the source. It is beside ALL of you all.

We are CONNECTED.

This social platform of instant connect is astounding. As we can see one another, talk to one another, text one another instantly. We can find like souls and locate our tribe because of technology.
Let us become stronger together.
Imagine a magical place where we all sit around a fire. The sun is setting and the moon is rising. We are all smiling at one another across the flames.

We are one.

In Trinity...to-get-her

Original art created by Judith Parsons Art
Do not use without permission. 2015.

Securing my graduate degree in fine arts has been an unraveling process.

The fabric of who I am has frayed, to the point where I question my sanity.

I was looking to become whole in this process and feel like I have become bi-polar.

There the 3 of me stand.

As I imagine the 3 of me, we are smiling like crazy fools at one another. I am excited about finding the origin of my river, I believe it will end at the ocean and I will find my home upon the sandy beach.

Monica Coyne-WOW!

The photographs and art are by Monica Coyne.

I have found a woman blacksmither that makes me zing and ping with excitement. Monica Coyne is am amazing artist!!

She uses simple elegant lines to form exquisite functional art! SHE is who I want to be when I grow up! (grinning)

Look at these forms. She uses lovely curves for the female form. You KNOW it is a female form. The curve of the bottom is l-o-v-e-l-y!!!  The mirror curve and the negative space it creates is glorious!

The feet!! OOOOOOOoooooh the feet in their simplest form are beautiful! I am in heaven! Then the most exquisite part, the connect of the small spike- it rest at the heart. THIS is pure design - THIS is magnificent art.

Then compare the man form with the woman. It too has a connect, however, it is at the pelvis. She has a sense of humor about her forms! What a delight! The calf muscles are straight, the form overall much more angular in shape!

Two similar, yet different forms! Two functional pieces of sculpture that S-O-A-R!!! Wooohooooo!! I love this artist, Monica Coyne!!

Open the art door...let the wind blow.

There is a great post that supports todays blog.

“”Everything happens when it needs to happen; everyone is where they need to be. You will never miss out on what is meant for you, even if it has to come about in a round about way.”
(Iyanla Vanzant)

Having said the above. Think about opening doors.

Lots and lots of doors, don’t close any of them- just keep opening and learning, every time you learn something new- open another door. And keep them open.

Let all the doors let the wind and light through…
Just keep growing and learning and walking through doors.

Think of a glorious spring day. The house has been shut up all winter and finally it is warm enough to open the windows and doors. The breeze is a magical wonderful clearing of love, the wind is so strong she will bang doors shut- so make sure you but a brick or something heavy in front of the door to make sure it stays open.

Then let the wind and energy do its magic.

Let the wind blow through- carrying with it all the old- all the mess…Let the breeze that had caressed the oceans caress your home, your heart, let the wind blow.

Smile and know everything is fine. We live. we learn, we keep opening doors- to let the wind in.

Don’t shut any doors…just let the energy flow through ALL of you—rest..YOU are big enough to have the doors open, to let the energy flow.

No one is going to take anything from you because you open to your door.

I am going to be soaring in the wind..Love y’all!

Light Love- ART

Yesterday- I got a few hugs—and it was great!!
We all need a hug every now and then.

You are light!

We are all connected, we are all light.
I reach out and help you turn your light on
I pull your chain- click.
You are on.

Opps, I see you have come unplugged.
(Reaching over plugging you into the world)

You are shining magnificently
I pat your arm
You smile at me
We hug

Feel that hug
Just stop for a second and hug me
Okay—lets make that 30 seconds
If you please

Step into me
Let me rub your back
Let those shoulders drop
and sigh
and relax

and
SHINE
and smile
and know we are all connected in love
and
light

THAT is enough to know

There is no ownership
No bars to cage you in
Light can not be contained
Love is magnificent fresh air after the rain

Just be Love
Hug a few people today
